Basil Yarde:
A Servant's Biography

Rev. Basil Yarde has been singing for as long as he can remember. Raised in the Christian faith in Barbados, Basil discovered that performing before large audiences proved very natural, and found singing to be a very powerful tool for transmitting the Gospel of Christ. At the invitation of the British government, for example, Basil had been granted the opportunity to sing at fairs, youth correctional facilities, schools and churches.

As an itinerant evangelist and singer, Basil has traveled to the Caribbean as well as to several European, African and South American countries. His mentoring under the renowned Dr. James Kennedy has allowed him the privilege to, in turn, train the staff of many denominations and islands for 11 years in evangelism, including a one-week training for the Anglican clergy of the Bahamas and Turk & Caicos Islands.

Currently, Basil resides in Boston with his wife, Marion, and their son, Brandon. Their eldest son, Basil, Jr. still lives in Barbados. In Boston, Basil and his wife continue their “Final Thrust” ministry to train believers to effectively communicate the Gospel. He also hosts a program called “Ministry in Spotlight” on WEZE radio.

Pastor, teacher, and singer, Basil Yarde takes seriously his call to minister to the body of Christ, and not merely to entertain. His voice evokes the majesty of God and his songs stimulate the mind, cause the audience to think, and compel them to reflect on their eternity. o:p>
